Ranbir Kapoor and 20 stars, including Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar, Shilpa Shetty, Aditya Roy Kapur, Amrita Rao, Anushka Sharma, Celina Jaitley, Dia Mirza, Karan Johar, Kunal Kapoor, Lara Dutta, Monikangana Dutta, Neha Dhupia, Prateik Babbar, Raima Sen, Ranveer Singh, Rohit Roy, Sandhya Mridul, Shazahn Padamsee and Tusshar Kapoor, are walking the ramp for a Shabana Azmi NGO that supports Mijwan village in Azamgarh, UP, where her father was born.
The show, on January 23, is styled by Manish Malhotra, who has adopted Mijwan for a year and will provide employment to girls there. According to Shabana, "Just Rs 6,000 can pay for a child's annual education in Mijwain.
All the stars I approached have come on board, no questions asked. They are role models and when they throw their weight behind a cause it leads to immense awareness on the issue. This is going to be the most phenomenal fashion show ever."
Aditya Roy Kapur is an Indian film actor in Hindi films. Starting out as a VJ with Channel V, he made his film debut with a role in Vipul Shah's film London Dreams (2009), and later gained popularity for his roles in the 2010 films Action Replayy and Guzaarish. Career
Kapur started his career as a VJ on music channel Channel V, where his comic timing and "unique style of hosting" made him a hit, and then made his debut as a Pakistani musician in the 2009 musical London Dreams by Vipul Shah, where he co-starred Ajay Devgan and Salman Khan as one of the two brothers, part of Ajay Devgn's band in the movie, along with another VJ, Rannvijay Singh.
Then starred in the Vipul Shah's next, a 2010 time-traveling comedy Action Replayy, playing Akshay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai's adult son who goes back in time to make their marriage a love marriage, his performance in the film caught critics eye.He acted again alongside Aishwarya Rai, in Guzaarish (2010) directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, where he played the role an apprentice magician under Hrithik Roshan
Personal life
Currently he lives in Mumbai. Aditya is not a trained actor, though he has taken diction classes to get his Hindi accent right and dance lessons. According to him he "had no a burning ambition to become an actor," and was content by being a VJ, before he was called to audition for London Dreams. In school he wanted to be a cricketer, though left cricket coaching classes after sixth standard.
His eldest brother Siddharth Roy Kapur is CEO of UTV Motion Pictures and second brother Kunal Roy Kapoor is an director-actor, who acted in TV series Just Mohabbat (1996), has directed film, The President Is Coming (2009) and is acting in Aamir Khan Productions’s Delhi Belly.
